Meet Author CD Blue

My blog this month is about a fellow author named CD Blue. I have had a lot of fun meeting and talking with the various local authors, some of them on-line and some in-person.  CD has some interesting stories to tell, and I wanted to share them in my Q & A session I held with her online. I learn more from fellow authors than anything else I do to work on my craft.  Here are some things that you might want to know about my fellow author, CD Blue.

Q:  Tell me why you started writing?

A:  My first love was reading, and I’ve always been a lover of words. I started writing poetry at a very young age. Since I always have a story in my head, I moved on to books.

Q:  What current works do you have available and where can they be purchased?

A: My catalog includes a Sin Series (which is five books), a non-fiction “Healing Into Peace” a standalone, a novella and “The Eyes of Death”. All can be accessed through my website:  www.cdbluebooks.com, which will connect them to Amazon.

Q:  How did you come up with the idea for “The Eyes of Death”?

A:  The Eyes of Death is very personal to me. After my son was injured due to gun violence, I needed an escape to deal with the spiritual warfare in my heart.

Q:  Who are some of your favorite authors?

A: So many! Karin Slaughter, John Sandford, Stephen King, Eric Jerome Dickey, Connie Briscoe, SA Crosby, David Baldacci, and so many new authors including Malcolm Tanner.

Q:  What advice would you give to authors just getting started?

A: There will be trials and errors, but if it is your passion, never stop writing and believe in yourself.

Q:  What is your favorite and least favorite things about writing?

A Creating the storyline then letting the characters take over is my favorite. My least favorite is that I can’t write as fast as the stories come into my head. Lol.

Q:  What works do you have planned for the future?

A  Another Healing book (Non-fiction) and two more Baudoin books, one short and the other a novel. These are my short-term goals.

Q:  What sites and contact information can you give my readers?

A:  My website is: www.cdbluebooks.com. They can also reach out to me via social media (listed below) and they can also email me at: authorcdblue@yahoo.com

Q: Can you tell me what your favorite saying is that you try to practice every day?

A: I thank God for each and every day first and one of my favorite sayings is: “Let me turn this negative into a positive.”
